Student Wellbeing

One of the significant benefits of a small school is the individual attention students receive. However when a student requires specialised support we access a variety of Department of Education student services including speech pathology, counselling, family support, referral services and assessment of learning needs. If you have any concerns about your child's learning or development the first contact point is your child's teacher and the Principal. We can access the services listed through the Department, however parents can also access professional services and advice from your family doctor, who may refer you to a paediatrician, occupational therapist, psychologist or physiotherapist for example. Please contact us if you require any further information.

Respectful Relationships

Willaura Primary School promotes the Respectful Relationships program to assist students to deal with understanding of different opinions, cultures and personal beliefs.

The Resilience Project

Willaura Primary School uses The Resilience Project to enable students to practise Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfullness while at school and the greater community.

School Wide Positive Behaviour Support Program

Willaura Primary School uses the SWPBS program across the school. We tie in behavioural expectations with our school values. Our school values fit in with the STAR acronym.

  • Stay Safe
  • Try Your Best
  • Act Responsibly
  • Respect Others
In addition to this program, we use Class Dojo to reward students' behaviour and communicate with families.
